Soccer Recap: Lincoln Triumphs

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lincoln). They put the hurt on the East Peoria Raiders with a sharp 8-0 win on Saturday. Lincoln haven't had any issues with East Peoria recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Lincoln's offense was hitting East Peoria from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Makinley Knapp led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Lincoln's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for East Peoria, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will square off against Springfield Southeast at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Peoria, they will face off against Galesburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
