2015-16 Arkansas Preseason Girls Basketball Fab 5, presented by the Army National Guard

1. North Little Rock
Head coach: Daryl Fimple
2014-15 record: 26-4

After reaching the 7A semifinals a year ago, the Charging Wildcats will aim to take things a step farther in 2015-16. Making that possible will be the formidable paint combination of Brogan Jones (6-4, Sr., C) – a Tulane verbal commit – and rising star Yomyris Morris (6-3, So., F/C).

2. Central (Little Rock)
Head coach: Michael B. Green
2014-15 record: 17-6

Central's hopes will rest on the shoulders of senior Kiara Williams (6-1, F), who committed to Arkansas in September. Williams averaged over 14 points per game as a junior and garnered offers from a number of SEC schools. Big things will also be expected from freshman Kennady Tucker (5-10, G).

3. Conway
Head coach: Ashley Nance
2014-15 record: 24-7

The Wampus Cats have spent the offseason stinging from an upset loss to Fayetteville in the 7A championship game. With that motivation and the presence of Central Arkansas commit Alexis Tolefree (5-7, Sr. G), Conway might have enough to win its second crown in three years.

4. Northside (Fort Smith)
Head coach: Rickey Smith
2014-15 record: 27-2

The Grizzlies were hit hard by graduation, but holdover Aahliyah Jackson is a great building block. The 6-foot senior forward averaged 16.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game as a junior.

5. Central Arkansas Christian (North Little Rock)
Head coach: Steve Quattlebaum
2014-15 record: 28-4

Sophomore Christyn Williams (5-11, G) is considered one of the top 2018 prospects in the nation. As a freshman, Williams piled up over 22 points and 10 rebounds per game. College powerhouses Baylor and Tennessee are among the teams to already extend scholarship offers.
