Basketball Recap: West Mesquite Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

West Mesquite and White squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but West Mesquite had to settle for second. They were dealt a 55-12 defeat at the hands of the White Longhorns. The match marked the Wranglers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Dany Diaz continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for White, going 11-for-19 to rack up 29 points and six steals. Diaz has become a key player for White: the team is 12-2 when she posts at least five steals, but 5-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Portia Danso, who posted ten points and eight boards.

West Mesquite's loss dropped their record down to 15-15. As for White, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-9.

West Mesquite does not have any more games scheduled as of now. White has already played their next game (against Red Oak), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
