Basketball Recap: SWCHA S Takes a Loss

SWCHA S has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-43 heartbreaker at the hands of Varsity Opponent. The Saints were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Varsity Opponent earlier this season, when they won 76-58.

When it comes to explaining why SWCHA S lost on Saturday, don't look at Elias Barnes. Despite the final result, he went 5 of 8 en route to 11 points in addition to six steals and five boards. SWCHA S is 6-1 when Barnes posts three or more steals, but 2-3 otherwise. Wesley Pollnow was another key player, putting up six points.

SWCHA S's loss dropped their record down to 8-4.

SWCHA S will challenge Northeast Wisconsin Christian HomeSchool at 7:00 p.m. on January 20th. As for Varsity Opponent, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-64 defeat against Bridgehampton on the 11th.
