Basketball Recap: Egyptian Pharaohs vs. Crab Orchard Trojans

The Egyptian Pharaohs pushed their score all the way to 63 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a serious blow against Crab Orchard, falling 95-63. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Egyptian in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Several Pharaohs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brandon Plott, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 39.7% of Egyptian's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Damarion Clark was another key contributor, scoring 26 points.

Egyptian has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 15 of their last 19 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-20 record this season. As for Crab Orchard, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-7.
