Basketball Recap: Coconino Takes a Loss

After flying high against Thunderbird last Friday, Coconino came back down to earth. The Coconino Panthers were dealt a 75-45 defeat at the hands of the Deer Valley Skyhawks on Monday. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Coconino's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2. As for Deer Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Coconino will be home for the holidays to greet Mingus at 7:00 p.m. on December 17th. As for Deer Valley, they will head out to take on Mesquite at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
