Basketball Recap: Falcon Triumphs

Air Academy came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Falcon, but Christian Bertholf wouldn't allow it. The Falcon Falcons took down the Air Academy Kadets 72-56 on Saturday thanks in part to Bertholf, who went 9 of 10 on his way to 21 points and eight rebounds. He has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last five times he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Wood, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points and six steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Air Academy had strong showings from Sam Brennan, who posted 11 points, and Levi Wyman, who had eight points and five rebounds. Brody Winnett was another key player, putting up eight points and three blocks.

Falcon now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Air Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Falcon will be playing in front of their home fans against Sierra at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Air Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 64-48 defeat against Liberty on the 7th.
