Baseball Recap: Howard Wins Going Away Against Marriotts Ridge

Howard made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Marriotts Ridge, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Howard put the hurt on Marriotts Ridge with a sharp 17-11 win on Wednesday. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 8-1 victory Marriotts Ridge walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Howard got a massive performance out of Austin Proescher, who went 4-for-5 with four RBI, one triple, and one double. Those four RBI gave Proescher a new career-high. Carter Parise was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4.

Howard has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.0 runs this season. As for Marriotts Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
