Basketball Recap: Mount Anthony Takes a Loss

Mount Anthony was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 73-58 bruising from the Springfield Cosmos. The Patriots were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cosmos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Mount Anthony's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Springfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season.

Coming up, Mount Anthony will be playing at home against Burr & Burton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Anthony knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Burr & Burton likes a good challenge. As for Springfield, they will head out to take on White River Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
