University Prep is a perfect 10-0 against Riverside Prep since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Jaguars will take on the Silver Knights at 3:15 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Riverside Prep will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: University Prep extended their winning streak to four on Friday. The Jaguars' pitchers stepped up to hand Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy a 7-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Riverside Prep entered their tilt with Academy for Academic Excellence on Thursday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Knights.

Alyssa Martinez was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Samantha Urtiaga, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Riverside Prep hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

University Prep's win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Riverside Prep, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Everything went University Prep's way against Riverside Prep in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as University Prep made off with an 18-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jaguars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
