Football Recap: Dillon Alcott's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Le Roy/Caledonia-Mumford over Hornell/Arkport Central/Canaseraga

After flying high against Haverling last Friday, Le Roy/Caledonia-Mumford came back down to earth. The Rivals fell just short of Hornell/Arkport Central/Canaseraga by a score of 21-18 on Friday. The Rivals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hornell/Arkport Central/Canaseraga apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Several Rivals players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dillon Alcott, who picked up 108 receiving yards and two scores. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 68 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Le Roy/Caledonia-Mumford fell to 2-1. As for Hornell/Arkport Central/Canaseraga, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
