Football Recap: Vidalia Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Vidalia extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They came up short against the Screven County Gamecocks, falling 28-8. The Indians were down 28-0 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

As for Screven County, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 14 points this season.

AB Hilton was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 116 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Looking ahead, Vidalia will venture away from home to take on Tattnall County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Screven County, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Claxton at 7:30 p.m. on September 5.
