Basketball Game Preview: Westgate Tigers vs. Morgan City Tigers

The Westgate Tigers will challenge the Morgan City Tigers at 6:35 p.m. on Monday. Morgan City took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Westgate, who comes in off a win.

Westgate is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victor by an 81-61 margin over Rayne on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Tigers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Meanwhile, Morgan City suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2024 on Friday. They had to suffer through a 73-44 loss at the hands of Vandebilt Catholic. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Terriers: they've now lost four in a row.

Morgan City's loss dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Westgate, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 15-10.

Westgate didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Morgan City in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, but they still walked away with a 62-57 win.
