Baseball Recap: Western Hills Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Western Hills's offense. They came up short against the Taylor Yellowjackets on Saturday, falling 13-0. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost three in a row.

Western Hills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reggie Payne, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Western Hills now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Taylor, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Hills will welcome Withrow at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Taylor, they will host Deer Park at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Yellowjackets are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
