Basketball Game Preview: Leyton Warriors vs. Potter-Dix Coyotes

Leyton has gone 10-0 against Potter-Dix recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Leyton Warriors will take on the Potter-Dix Coyotes in a holiday battle at. Leyton will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Leyton will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating South Platte, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Leyton walked away with a 48-36 win over South Platte on Friday.

It was another big night for Zaili Benish, who went 11 for 20 on her way to 27 points in addition to six assists and five boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 28 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Shawnee Gamble, who posted eight points in addition to 11 rebounds and seven assists.

Leyton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Potter-Dix played a tough match on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by Paxton 66-30. The loss continues a trend for the Coyotes in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Leyton's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Potter-Dix, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Everything came up roses for Leyton against Potter-Dix in their previous meeting back in February, as the team secured a 62-17 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Leyton since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
