Football Game Preview: Catholic Memorial Crusaders vs. Jefferson Eagles

The Catholic Memorial Crusaders will square off against the Jefferson Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Catholic Memorial's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last seven games.

On Friday, Catholic Memorial blew past Waukesha South, posting a 38-7 victory. Considering the Crusaders have won eight contests by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Devon Williams was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 127 yards and one TD on only 11 carries.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Catholic Memorial proved: they limited Waukesha South to a paltry 3.3 yards per carry. The Crusaders didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 9.7.

Meanwhile, Jefferson played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 49-28 to Delavan-Darien.

Catholic Memorial pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 43.1 points this season. As for Jefferson, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
