Recap: Redlands East Valley Wildcats vs. Norco Cougars
The Redlands East Valley Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 79-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of Norco. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Friday (60), Redlands East Valley still had to take the loss.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeremiah Ivens, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and four steals. The contest was Ivens' 13th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dariel Bahamontes, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Norco to victory, but perhaps none more so than Misael Palafox, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Kameron Brown, who scored 13 points.
Redlands East Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Norco, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
