Recap: Milaca Wolves vs. St. Francis Fighting Saints
This season hasn't been kind to the Milaca Wolves, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They were beaten by St. Francis 81-48 on Tuesday. Milaca lost against St. Francis in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 60-47 score last time.
Despite the loss, Milaca still got an impressive performance from Samson Trigg, who scored six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Berg, who scored eight points.
Even though they lost, Milaca were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Milaca bumped their record down to 0-4 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for St. Francis, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Milaca will take on Little Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Francis, they will head out on the road to face off against Becker at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Becker's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
