Football Recap: Curry Starts Season with Victory at Home + How To Watch

Curry gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 36-14 margin over the Carbon Hill Bulldogs. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 22-0.

A big part of Curry's win came down to the chemistry between Jd Sickles and his top target Heath Miller. Sickles rushed for 97 yards on only nine carries while Miller rushed for 27 yards and one TD. Those 97 rushing yards gave Sickles a new career-high.

Carbon Hill's loss came despite strong showings from Dayton Miller and Carter Williams. Miller threw for 172 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Williams picked up 55 receiving yards and two scores.

Looking ahead, Curry is taking a road trip to challenge Cold Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carbon Hill, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Colbert Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
