Recap: Compass Academy vs. Early Longhorns
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Compass Academy can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 54-13 loss at the hands of Early. Compass Academy lost against Early in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 62-0 score last time.
Early's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rohyn Price led the charge by throwing for 291 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Reedy, who picked up 174 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Compass Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Early, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Compass Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Early will head out on the road to face off against Canadian at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Canadian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
