Softball Recap: Geneva County Bulldogs vs. Cottonwood Bears

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Geneva County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-6 win over the Cottonwood Bears. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Addie Mae Habbard was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over eight innings while giving up four earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. She has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 11 times she's played.
