Volleyball Recap: Corner Canyon Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Orem

Corner Canyon faced Orem in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Corner Canyon fell just short of Orem by a score of 2-1. The Chargers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Cooper Varner paced Corner Canyon's offense, picking up 13 kills. Varner got some help from Archer Burke and his 23 assists.

Corner Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Orem, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-4.

Corner Canyon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Sky View on the 22nd. As for Orem, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Skyridge on the 22nd.
