Recap: Parkland Mustangs vs. West Forsyth Titans

The Parkland Mustangs pushed their score all the way to 78 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to West Forsyth at home by a decisive 94-78 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (65), Parkland still had to take the loss.

Parkland's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Moore, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Moore scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of SaMaurie Moses, who scored 17 points along with four steals.

West Forsyth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacari Brim, who scored 17 points along with nine assists and two steals. Brim is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last eight games he's played. Michael Siedlecki was another key contributor, going 6 for 7 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and 1 assist.

Parkland's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for West Forsyth, their win bumped their record up to 14-4.

Parkland will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against R.J. Reynolds at 7:30 p.m. R.J. Reynolds is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for West Forsyth, they will head out on the road to square off against Glenn at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenn is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
