Volleyball Recap: Morningside Find Success

On Wednesday, the Morningside Monarchs were able to grind out a solid victory over the San Gorgonio Spartans, taking the game 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Monarchs.

Morningside had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-11.

Morningside's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for San Gorgonio, they dropped their record down to 1-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Morningside will head out to challenge St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for San Gorgonio, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rim of the World at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
