Volleyball Recap: Williamsville Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

Williamsville hadn't done well against Metamora recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Bullets walked away with a 2-0 win over the Redbirds. For the Bullets, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Redbirds walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.

Hannah Holliday paced Williamsville's offense, picking up nine kills. Holliday got some help from Kinsley Fox and her 12 assists. Brianna Walters controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Williamsville has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season. As for Metamora, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.

Williamsville and Metamora should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Bullets will take on Illini Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (143 vs. 603). Meanwhile, Metamora (ranked 51st) will meet Pekin (ranked 255th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
