Recap: Creede Miners vs. Cheraw Wolverines
The Creede Miners's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Cheraw, falling 59-31. Creede lost against Cheraw in their previous head to head back in December of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-21 score last time.
Despite the loss, Creede still got an impressive performance from Will Roden, who scored 16 points along with 7 rebounds. Roden scored a full 51.6% of Creede's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Creede's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cheraw, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Creede won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Antonito at 9:40 a.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Antonito focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Friday. Cheraw's road trip will continue as they head out to face Soroco at 1:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
