Volleyball Game Preview: Scottsbluff Bearcats vs. Thunder Basin Bolts + How To Watch

Scottsbluff is 0-3 against Thunder Basin since September of 2023 but things could change on Friday. The Bearcats will take on the Bolts at 5:00 p.m. Scottsbluff is coming into the match hot, having won their last five games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Scottsbluff challenged Chadron on Thursday. The Bearcats were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cardinals.

The win didn't come easy: Chadron scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-22, 25-19.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Thunder Basin, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on South with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday.

Thunder Basin was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-20, 25-16.

Scottsbluff better keep an eye on Reece McGrath. She was instrumental in Thunder Basin's win, getting nine digs and two aces. That's the most aces McGrath has posted since back in August.

Scottsbluff's record is now 12-9. As for Thunder Basin, their record now sits at 11-4.

Scottsbluff came up short against Thunder Basin in their previous matchup on September 6th, falling 2-0. Can the Bearcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
