The Central Academy Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their ninth straight loss. They were beaten by Piedmont 76-25. Central Academy has struggled against Piedmont recently, as their game on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Central Academy had strong showings from Michael Hoff, who scored 12 points along with two steals, and Emmett Lashbrook, who scored five points. That was a full 48% of Central Academy's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Central Academy struggled to work together and finished the game with only an assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Piedmont racked up 24 assists.

Central Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season. As for Piedmont, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

Central Academy is coming into the matchup with 15 straight losses on the road, meaning Forest Hills will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for Piedmont, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Mount Pleasant at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. Averaging 60.1 points so far this season, Piedmont's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Mount Pleasant better be ready for a challenge.
