Preview: Valley Vikings vs. Bunker Eagles
The Valley Vikings will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Bunker Eagles at 6:15 p.m. Hopefully Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Saturday.
After a string of three wins, Valley's good fortune finally ran out. They had to suffer through a rough 53-20 loss at the hands of Valle Catholic.
Despite their loss, Valley saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Haylee Moore, who scored eight points, was perhaps the best of all.
Meanwhile, Bunker put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lesterville 60-25 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Bunker who now have three in a row.
Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Bunker, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Valley took a serious blow against Bunker in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, falling 65-36. Can Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
