Basketball Game Preview: Mineola Yellowjackets vs. Winona Wildcats

Mineola is a perfect 10-0 against Winona since February of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Mineola Yellowjackets will welcome the Winona Wildcats at 6:30 p.m.

Mineola came up into this matchup off a tough 36-point defeat on Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Malakoff by a score of 37-34 on Friday. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Winona). They blew past Eustace 84-39 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

Mineola's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Winona, their victory bumped their record up to 8-17.

Mineola came out on top in a nail-biter against Winona in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 68-66. Does Mineola have another victory up their sleeve, or will Winona turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
