Madison proved they can win big last Monday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the Silver Creek Dragons 3-2. This was payback for the Cubs, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Madison had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 23-25, 25-17, 25-15, 15-13.

Branson Cline paced Madison's offense, picking up 18 kills. Cline got some help from Aiden Smith and his 40 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: he led the team with five aces.

Madison's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Madison has already played their next matchup (against Floyd Central), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Silver Creek also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Jeffersonville.
