Baseball Game Preview: C.A. Johnson Hornets vs. McBee Panthers

C.A. Johnson hasn't had much luck against McBee recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Hornets will challenge the Panthers at 6:00 p.m.

C.A. Johnson fell victim to Lamar and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Silver Foxes, falling 7-0. The Hornets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, McBee never let their opponents score on Friday. They didn't even let Midlands STEM Charter on the board, marking the Panthers' second-straight 15-0 shutout. Considering the Panthers have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

McBee is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for C.A. Johnson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.

C.A. Johnson might still be hurting after the 17-0 loss they got from McBee in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can the Hornets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
