Pope posted their closest victory since December 21, 2023 on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lassiter Trojans 51-48. This was a revenge game for the Greyhounds: when they faced off against the Trojans back in January, they had to take a 39-36 defeat.

Pope's victory bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Lassiter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-14.

Looking ahead, Pope will be taking part in a tournament against Sprayberry at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sprayberry will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Pope surely won't give up without a fight. Lassiter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
