Westfield and Herndon are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Westfield came up short against James Madison and fell 6-3. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Warhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Westfield got a good showing from Alex Raymond, who pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Raymond a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Westfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Sanders, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Herndon's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of McLean by a score of 6-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Herndon's loss dropped their record down to 16-7-1. As for Westfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-17.
