Baseball Recap: Sunset Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

It's playoff time, and Sunset had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Central Catholic Rams 6-4. That's two games straight that the Apollos have won by exactly two runs.

Sunset has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Central Catholic, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-6-1.

Coming up, Sunset will challenge McMinnville on Tuesday. The Grizzlies will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Apollos surely won't give up without a fight. Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
