Softball Recap: Gehlen Catholic Takes a Loss

Gehlen Catholic fell victim to South O'Brien and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines. The Jays were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in July of 2024.

Gehlen Catholic has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for South O'Brien, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-6 record.

Coincidentally, Gehlen Catholic and South O'Brien will both be playing Harris-Lake Park the next time they take the field. The Wolverines will host the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Jays will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
