Preview: Petaluma Trojans vs. Napa Grizzlies
After two games on the road, Petaluma is heading back home. They will take on The Napa Grizzlies at 12:45 p.m. on Friday. Petaluma will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
Last Friday, Petaluma got themselves on the board against Justin-Siena, but Justin-Siena never followed suit. They breezed by the Braves on the road to the tune of 57-0. Petaluma pushed the score to 50-0 by the end of the third, a deficit Justin-Siena had no chance of recovering from.
Petaluma found their leader in underclassman Aiden Wirtz, who rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 57 yards and three touchdowns on only five passes. The team also got some help courtesy of James Mullan, who gained 50 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Napa got themselves on the board against American Canyon on Friday, but American Canyon never followed suit. They secured a 6-0 W over the Wolves.
Their wins bumped Petaluma to 5-2 and Napa to 3-4-1.
