Volleyball Recap: Two Rivers Comes Up Short

Two Rivers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Dover Pirates.

Two Rivers may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored zero points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-0, 25-0, 25-0.

Leading Dover to victory were Peyton Freeman and Early Jackson. Freeman had six aces and three digs, while Jackson had eight digs and two aces. That's the most aces Jackson has posted over her last three matchups. Olivia Hill also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Two Rivers' defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Dover, they pushed their record up to 5-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Two Rivers will head out to take on Magazine at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dover, they will challenge Booneville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
