Volleyball Game Preview: Garfield Boilermakers vs. Becton Wildcats

The Garfield Boilermakers will square off against the Becton Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Garfield's favor as the team sits on 15 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Becton has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.

Last Tuesday, Garfield earned a 2-0 win over Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology. The Boilermakers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Becton came up short against Bergen Charter on Wednesday and fell 2-0.

Becton's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Garfield, their win bumped their record up to 4-0.

Garfield beat Becton 2-0 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Boilermakers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
