Soccer Recap: Laurel Takes a Loss

Laurel managed to keep up with Winters Mill until halftime on Wednesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Spartans lost 5-0 to the Falcons. While losing is never fun, Laurel can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland soccer rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Winters Mill are ranked 16th).

Laurel's loss dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Winters Mill, they now have a winning record of 2-1-1.

Laurel didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 3-1 defeat against Flowers on the 18th. As for Winters Mill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-0 win against Poly on the 19th.
