Baseball Game Preview: Perris Panthers vs. Canyon Springs Cougars

For the second straight game, Perris will face off against Canyon Springs. The Panthers are taking a road trip to face off against the Cougars at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Perris' hitters haven't had much luck over their past five matches, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Perris took on Canyon Springs on Tuesday. The Panthers fell 4-1 to the Cougars.

Jonathan Lenning spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on four hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Perris saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adan Perez, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Canyon Springs' win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 7-10. As for Perris, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
