Baseball Recap: Baldwin Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Baldwin's offense. They came up short against the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors on Thursday, falling 10-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Indians were not able to get on the board.

Cooper Farah was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

This is the second loss in a row for Baldwin and nudges their season record down to 10-10. As for Trinity Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baldwin will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Baker County at 6:30 p.m. on April 7. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they will challenge Tocoi Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: Tocoi Creek has averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
