Soccer Recap: Desert Vista Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Desert Vista had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Campo Verde Coyotes on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Thunder also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2021.

Hayden Quest and Dario Melo scored all three of Desert Vista's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Desert Vista pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those eight matchups. As for Campo Verde, their loss ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5.

Looking ahead, Desert Vista will be playing in front of their home fans against Washington at 7:00 p.m. on March 1st. Washington is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season. Campo Verde does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
