Basketball Recap: Guilderland Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Madyson Hamilton and Brooke Lilley

Guilderland lost against Averill Park back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Guilderland Flying Dutchmen came up short against the Averill Park Warriors, falling 58-32. The matchup marked the Flying Dutchmen's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Brooke Lilley and Madyson Hamilton certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Lilley posted 15 points and three steals, while Hamilton had seven points.

This is the second loss in a row for Guilderland and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Averill Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Guilderland and Mohonasen will round out the year against one another at at 5:00 p.m. on December 28th. As for Averill Park, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Our Lady of Lourdes at 2:30 p.m. on December 27th. Our Lady of Lourdes will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Averill Park surely won't give up without a fight.
