Franklin came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 15-8 to the Asheville Cougars. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

William Rauers made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Damion Bowles, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Franklin now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Asheville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin will square off against West Henderson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Asheville, they will challenge McDowell at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
