Baseball Recap: Penfield Patriots vs. Brighton Bruins
Penfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brighton Bruins. Penfield was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Brighton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
Nick Masters stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: he scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Patrick Emling, who went 3-for-4 with a stolen base and two RBI.
Penfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Brighton, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
