Baseball Game Preview: Glenn Bobcats vs. Dudley Panthers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Glenn Bobcats challenge Dudley Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Glenn nor Dudley posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Tuesday, Glenn came up short against East Forsyth and fell 4-1. The game marked the Bobcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Glenn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Smith, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. Logan Stump also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Dudley fell victim to McMichael and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 10-0 to the Phoenix. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Dudley's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Glenn, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-3.

Glenn took their victory against Dudley when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 17-0. Does Glenn have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dudley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
