Softball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Cochranton

There's no place like home for Cochranton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Iroquois Braves on Thursday. The Cardinals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Braves, too.

The team relied heavily on Danielle Hoffman, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Claire McCartney, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Cochranton's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cochranton will welcome Mercer at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Iroquois, they will be playing at home against Central Tech at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
