After starting their season with two straight games on the road, Robbinsville is finally coming home. They will look to take advantage of their home-field as they take on the Mountain Heritage Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Robbinsville will head into Friday's contest ready to turn things around: they lost a close one when they played last Friday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on Friday was a bit more commanding. They lost 30-7 to Franklin. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Black Knights have suffered since September 22, 2023.

Bryce Adams put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible56 yards.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Mountain Heritage beat Erwin 32-27 on Friday.

Brandon Quinn went supernova for Mountain Heritage, rushing for 207 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.7 yards per carry, and also throwing for 111 yards and two touchdowns on only seven passes. With that strong performance, Quinn is now averaging an impressive 134.5 rushing yards per game. Another player making a difference was Cason Jones, who gained 153 total yards and a touchdown.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Mountain Heritage was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 268 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 177 rushing yards in 15 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Mountain Heritage wouldn't let Erwin keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Mountain Heritage can thank Jones and Gabe Onchi for forcing both of them. Jones' also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing a fumble and making ten total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Robbinsville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mountain Heritage, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with that win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
