Basketball Recap: West Point-Beemer's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

West Point-Beemer waltzed into their game on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They snuck past the Pierce Bluejays with a 48-44 victory. For the Cadets, this counts as revenge for the 40-34 win the Bluejays walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

West Point-Beemer's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hunter Swanson, who posted 15 points and five assists. Swanson is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Ian Schiller was another key player, going 5 of 6 en route to 12 points and seven rebounds.

West Point-Beemer has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Pierce, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

West Point-Beemer will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Madison at 7:00 p.m. on February 11th. As for Pierce, they will take on Crofton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pierce is facing Crofton at the right time seeing as Crofton is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
